SMART CONTROLLERS
General details
The drone-tweaks FCC apps can be used in several ways:
-
with the standard controllers attached to the phone running the app
-
with the RC Pro range of controllers, installing the dedicated drone-tweaks app directly on them and flying as normal
-
with the other smart controllers (e.g. DJI RC, DJI RC2), running the app on the phone and using the QuickTransfer functionality to switch the drone and controller into FCC mode.
Drones supported for use with smart controllers, via the QuickTransfer method detailed below:
- • DJI Mini 5 Pro
- • DJI Mini 4 Pro
- • DJI Air 3S
- • DJI Mavic 4 Pro
- • DJI Mavic 3
- • DJI Neo 2
- • DJI Flip
- • DJI Air 3
- • DJI Mavic 3 Classic
- • DJI Mini 3 Pro
- • DJI Mavic 3 Pro

Using the Quick-Transfer procedure
Important things to consider for quick-transfer:
-
this is done with the same app used to fly with the standard controllers, so you don't use a separate license
-
this is a very short procedure (~15 seconds) but it must be done before each flight
-
restarting the drone or controller will reset the mode back to CE
-
completely losing signal between drone and controller (no video, no telemetry and image goes black & white) will reset the mode back to CE
Step-by-step procedures:
-
Android

Start drone and smart controller and wait for the drone to acquire GPS and update the home point
-
Launch the FCC app
-

-
Once connected, tap Exit Quick Transfer on the smart controller
